Sky are sponsored by both Kask and Oakley, so let's hope so...

Just make sure the arms of the glasses sit outside the helmet straps. This is a crucial safety requirement.

Unless you're doing triathlons. But I guess you knew that.
  • I have a Protone and a pair of Oakleys and have no issues........the problems occur with the Mojito which I also have and can confirm the combo isn't the best!
  • I’ve got a Protone & Jawbreakers, no issues.

On my third Mojito and never had a problem with Radar Path, JawBreakers or Factory Pilots.

i use a protone with oakley evzero path, and previously radar path, both ok, works best with the evzero especially in hot weather

some people say it does foul on their glasses, head shape might be a factor, also angle the helmet is worn at (if i tilted mine back from preferred position then it'd catch the arms of the glasses)
my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny

Protone also fine with Radar EVs.

With the Protone and Radars I find the best thing is to have the glasses going over the straps at the front but tucked under the plastic strips further back that attach to the size adjustment wheel thingie. The strips actually have a outwards kink in them to facilitate this. I wear the cage low down at the back of the head though, I guess it wouldn’t be an issue if you wore it higher up. The ear stems will also go over the plastic bits but I find the glasses are more stable tucked under them.

If you're doing triathlon you'll want to take the helmet off. It's easier if the straps are over the glasses. Or you'll be a bit slower.

Ok I'll fess up. My first comment was flippant, but apparently helmet/glasses matching at £180+ each is a now real thing. Feck me, as if life isn't hard enough..

    Re triathlons - t'is true.
  • The new David Millar CHPT3 + Poc collab is a thing of beauty, available end of December just in time to treat myself!
  • That’s the one ah. I like it. Plus I’ve just bought some black & orange kit so it’ll go well.

On the straps / glasses thing, I’m always former inside latter as I seem to be incapable of remembering to take glasses off before helmet thus sending glasses crashing to ground if straps are outside!

On the Millar / Poc combo. Beauty might just be in the eye of the beholder but IMHO the sunnies look horrible and the helmet looks like it might get very hot due to lack of vents. Double fail.

Looks more like something you would wear skiing to me. Each to their own I suppose..

Its not for me - I think I prefer the normal POCs. I'm sure ventilation will be OK - I've some aero helmets and they look as if they'd be hot - but they aren't.

I’ve ridden in one of these, different colour scheme, they’re good, I’ve not climbed a mountain in mid summer in one for sure but it was a warm day and there were no problems. They have some mirrored lenses POC glasses which I think look brilliant but I’ve only worn normal ones.

For me, I prefer the Octal in bright pink and my Oakley’s, but I do think the CHPT3 Devesa stuff looks absolutely amazing. The Vista bike is good too. Very good.
  • I pre-ordered the Devesa Ventral helmet yesterday as I was informed stock would be very limited and I didn’t want to miss out. Still in two minds on over the glasses though.

The Crave glasses look fantastic, still think Oakley Prizm lenses are better but that’s personal opinion.
