Bossnut Evo, or secondhand Giant or Cube?

Hi all,
I'm getting back into the sport after some time out and would like to buy a FS bike. I own a 2008 GT Avalanche which has served me well but a £200 service estimate means it's time for a change. My budget is £1k which is based on having set my sights on the Calibre Bossnut Evo.
My riding will be local forests and trails along with the occasional bike park trip, so a bit of a mix.
A friend suggested I also look at pre-owned options as there may be a better spec available.
I've found two bikes I'm now considering alongside the Bossnut so I'm just looking for some advice please on which is the best buy?
Option 1: £650, Giant Reign 2012, Fox 150mm fork with Fox float rear, 26" wheels, Hope M4s and rotas, braided hoses, Reverb seat dropper, Race face Respond double chainset, 10 SPD xt rear mech and shifter, Hope Pro 2 hubs, v12 pedals, ZTR front and Nuke proof on rear.
Option 2: £650, Cube 110 AMs race 2012, 26" wheels, stx hydraulics, Sram XO, Fox RP23 rear shock, Rockshox Reba fork, syntace bars, race face stem, DT Swiss wheels.
Option 3: Bossnut Evo £999.
As I understand it, the Cube is the most XC, then the Bossnut and then the Giant? I'm leaning towards the Giant for the spec, but it's been "custom painted" which concerns me as it could be covering up some repaired damage (or maybe I'm being paranoid).
Your thoughts would be appreciated!
Thanks

Depends on condition. If fork and shock need any serious work it will obviously cost a bit. As will a Reverb.
basically, insufficient info.I don't do smileys.

You don't want a Reign for riding forest tracks and trails. It's a tank and hard work. An Anthem or Trance would be much better suited.
The Cube is very XC orientated, so ok for tracks and trails but maybe not so good for bike parks.
Get the Bossnut Evo. It will do it all.“Life has been unfaithful

Thanks all for your advice. I decided against the Giant but did end up buying a Specialized Enduro Expert.0
