Morning All good people here,

I (might) be considering getting myself a new full-sus...

I have been riding a Giant Anthem X2 2013 for past few years and absolutely love it!!

I am leaning towards another Anthem ...something like this:

https://www.paulscycles.co.uk/m1b4s183p ... HEM-2-2017

However, what else out there would be worth considering ???

(ideally around £1500 not exceeding 2k)

Something fast, good going uphill etc.

Many thanks,

Chris

PS.

Should I wait few more weeks closer to X-mas for some better deals ??

I'm a big fan of Giant bikes (3 in the family) and that Anthem looks great for the money. Decent drive train, brakes (M615 is Deore), forks and shock and boost wheel set.
The only thing I would change is the tyres. Schwalbe Performance tyres are pants in the wet.

If you want to push towards the top end of your budget Rutland have the Anthem 2 2018 on sale for £1,959. Wider bars, updated brakes, 130mm forks, wider rims and the newer Giant dropper post. Only M and XL in stock though.

Giant are showing the Anthem 2 2018 for the same price and have M and L in stock.

Have a look at Sonder, and you can just about spec a Bird Aeris 120 for £2k. :) Nothing wrong with the Giants, just giving options. :)

    Yep, was looking at 2018 model as well, but wasnt sure its worth paying extra ££;

Paul's have got it as well (and looks like they have all sizes):

I dont worry about the rubber as already have my favorite rubber combo set up, so they will be first to go. Have also favorite bar+stem set up so that would be the straight 'upgrade' (as this can be taken form my existing bike).

Another option is go up a model if you fancy doing harder stuff and get the Trance, either way you can't go wrong with the Anthem or Trance.
Too many bikes according to Mrs O.
