Chiang Mai Thailand where to stay

i'm thinking of going but am looking for advice on a good place to stay. Medium priced.
I guess I can take my bike to any place but some might be more "bike friendly" any experience here would be helpful to plan a trip

    the rooms are good.

    it has a large set of park tools for use by the guests,

    it is close to canal road, which is the main north/ south road and you will be using.

    and is in santhi tam, a good location, every thing you need on your doorstep.

    If only it had a pool for a few laps I'd be booking now

    there is a nice public pool 5 mins away.

    there is also an olympic size pool at 700 year stadium, 15 mins on a scooter.

    anything from a sunday morning social to long rides and serious hill climbing.
