28mm tire clearance on CAAD12

Hi there,
I'm looking to put a little comfort on my bike throughout the winter and therefore I've been looking to buy some 28mm tires. I'm a little in doubt about the clearance, if the Cannondale CAAD12 with rim brakes, can fit 28mm tires. I'm currently riding on Bontrager Aeolus Pro 5 TLR Clinchers wheelset.
Does anyone know or have any experience with this?
