SKS Raceblade Longs Mounting WITH Lugs?

Hi. I bought some SKS Raceblade Longs for my son's Cannondale Synapse as I liked the way you could easily remove them for racing etc. Nice idea. However there is a snag - on the bike the design is as such that the rear drop out is really shrouded and recessed by the seat stays where it joins with the chain stays. I doubt if the special clip will clear this except if it points straight backwards.
However - the bike has mounting lugs for mudguards. Can I use these with the skewer clips? They'd have a pointless dog-leg bend unless you can get straight clips? Any ideas or do SKS do a quick release version for use with proper mounting points?
