Hi ,
I am planning a long ride of around 14 hours for next spring .Has anyone used an external battery back up suitable to keep my Garmin 1000 alive for the journey

I got a small light one from Asda on offer about three quid. After finishing Cingles challenge on Ventoux (+ 12 hours) I had 100% charge left on Garmin 800.

  • you need to make sure you have the right type of USB cable, one that doesn't turn off the device whilst it's charging
