Hi
Looking to spend about £1400 on a new old stock - seen any deals? Also going NEC Sat.
Medium, disc for sportive/ training up to 100 miles.
There is a Giant Defy advanced 1 2018 on eBay for £1300 from a shop, but too far and unsure about posting carbon.
Dave
EDIT: was hoping for a carbon....
EDIT#2: i'm 5 10 and unsure of frame sizes yet other than medium, will find some charts

Unsure about posting carbon? How do you think bikes get to shops.0

If posting carbon was such an issue then how would manufacturers such as Canyon ever get off the ground?
I've personally had 3 carbon bikes posted to me from manufacturers or bike retailers and never had any issues.
You'll seriously limit yourself if you don't want a carbon bike and also potentially deprive yourself of a great machine.0 -
Point taken over posting

check the sensa range at merlin cycles. they had a stonking deal on an ultegra sensa guila a few weeks back. and last janaury briefly knocked about £400 off the entire sensa range.0

https://www.rutlandcycling.com/bikes/ro ... ack_380957 might appeal for £1200, if 54cm frame fits you, most upright sportive road bike IIRC and masses of tyre clearance for a sportive as it comes with 32mm tyres.
https://www.paulscycles.co.uk/m7b67s6p8 ... -DISC-2017 58cm only, what I have, I'm 5'10" with ~32.5" cycling inseam (i.e. long torso for height)
https://www.paulscycles.co.uk/m7b0s6p93 ... -DISC-2018 Smaller frames available

Seriously? Considering most frames are made in Taiwan, that's an awful lot of frames sent by ship and air cargo to suppliers around the World and then onto dealerships. My Reacto frame was made in Taiwan at the Merida & Giant plant before being shipped to France. I bought it from a French dealership who shipped it to me in the UK without a scratch.I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.0 -
It's not in the sales but the Caad 12 is a classic, it's got an amazing purple paint job and it has the new 105 groupset. Over time upgrade the wheels and tyres and you have an incredible bike:

If you want a carbon race bike then you'd fit on this Tarmac:

EDIT
Just seen you've specified Disc, well again it's not in the sale but you can't go far wrong with Canyon

Just over budget but you may fit onto this Pro SL Disc which has the lovely SRAM Force groupset, there's a 57cm frame in black or a 53cm one in red:

I've got this, the 55cm frame should do you, same height as me and thats what i have

I didn't get the job, so unemployed and this is on hold.
Still went the show today - best part for me was trials/flatland and ramp display. £15 in, £12 parking. No Giant or Trek stand.
