Odd/mismatched crank lengths

Stupid question of the week:

Anyone ridden with mismatched length cranks without issue?

I've switched to the winter bike that runs 170 cranks and was thinking of putting the power meter that is 172.5 on it for tomorrow as I've got a long group ride with some friends.

Anyone done this without getting knee pain etc? Is it even noticeable?

    Why not just put both the 172.5 cranks on.

    I know of a couple of riders who have ridden with mismatched cranks without noticing until they came to change them. Having said that, it's not something I would do deliberately...
