I am doing user research into bike accessories for commuter & urban bikes and have created a survey to try and better understand commuter habits. Its a bit long (5-10 minutes) but any answers will be helpful.

Happy to answer questions about it, thanks for your help.

Could you explain exactly what it's for? Business? School Home work? Travel Planning? ... .
We get a lot of these on here, and my likelihood to complete the survey is relative to how much the same answer has been asked thousands of times before...Intent on Cycling Commuting on a budget, but keep on breaking/crashing/finding nice stuff to buy.
Bike 1 (Broken) - Bike 2(Borked) - Bike 3(broken spokes) - Bike 4( Needs Work) - Bike 5 (in bits) - Bike 6* ...0 -
Very quick preview - It seems to be based around carrying kit and locks ...
I can answer here then ..
Ride - whichever bike is to hand and ready.
Frequency - as often as possible
Carry - as little as possible, but usually light backpack or (if more) pannier
Lock - at work - no, it's inside by my desk - at the shops - definately - carry a D-Lock & cables (see carry if more)0 -

I am conscious of the length of the survey and have cut quite a few questions that weren't giving any meaningful responses. Sorry for the repetitive nature of the survey - this line of questioning is much better as an interview I am finding but having a survey gets more responses.0 -
Done - it's better than 90% of the other surveys that have been posted on here.2007 Felt Q720 (the ratbike)
