Bar Tape - Black or White?

I'm doing up my son's Planet X Pro Carbon to sell as he's grown out of it. It's a Cornflower Blue colour. Currently it has a white saddle and white bartape and matching cables. Looks stunning as it is. Need to replace some cables and not sure if to stick with the current colour scheme or go with black replacements? Personally I think that black on this bike would look boring but don't want to put off potential buyers who might think white is not them? They'd be buying if for a child though.
Thoughts?

Saddle and bar tape to match. The end.0

Black. Will look smart for years.
White. Will look rubbish after the first ride.0 -
White bar tape is like white trousers. Okay on the outfield of Lords or on the man from del Monte, but otherwise not entirely practical.0

It has a white saddle that still looks good. I have a Charge Scoop saddle in Black I can fit
The current White looks good though just a bit tired after 20 months of riding.Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

White will look much nicer in photos and therefore more likely to sell. Who cares if it gets dirty once you've sold it? Cheap stuff from Decathlon stays fresh looking and is easy to clean.

It will look best if it looks coordinated, so I'd suggest saddle, cables and bar tape in the same colour.0

To paraphrase Sean Connery in Diamonds are forever,
"providing the collars and cuffs match"0 -
Haha! Yes. Cuffs and collars! I do prefer my women with a full head of hair on top though.
As I have a white and a black saddle it's just a matter of choosing the outer colour and bar tape colour.
I think white is a seller colour so I'll stick with that.Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

Get the jiff out and clean the old tape, should clean up reasonably quickly. Saves spending, faffing on new.0

Depends on the brand of bar tape. The Fizk superlight classic in white will last forever, not attract dirt and scrub clean easily with degreaser. Any spongy tape in white will look horrible after a few rides and be really difficult to clean.
But definitely match saddle and bars if poss!0 -
Pale blue bike - white bar tape and saddle. Don't believe all the nonsense about white after one ride. It'll be fine.
Cables should be black. Always.0 -

So much carp written about white bar tape. I've had white bar tape on my Prince all this year and I'm fussy. Good as new. Fizik is the only stuff I'll use.0

Wiggle sell own brand bar tape which is black and white, black for the tops and white for the (less used) drops.

I've got it on my black & white bike, it's really nice tape and better than Lizard Skins imo.0 -
Keep it white...I used a glossy Fizik tape of some sort, the surface is non porous so doesn't attract the dirt and wipes clean...and stays pretty clean.

I think you've probably got more important things to be worrying about if you're selling it.0

T-cut over the scratches and they will be invisible during viewing, even if they are still there.0

Going to stick with White bars, white saddle (cleaned up nicely) and keep the white cable outers and run some new inners I have kicking about and a set of new brake pads - took the nearly new Swissstop BXP pads off the bike to put on his new one.
Now that hard part - what to sell it for? Pro Carbon in size small with Sora groupset with Youth Gearing cassette and chainrings - these alone are costly.Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.
