I've got an El Chulo...
It runs:
RS Yari 160mm
Guide R Brakes
SRAM X9/GX drive train 11 speed
Easton ARC27 rims with Maxxis DHF and HRII tyres
Raceface bars and stem
KS Cruxi dropper
Built last winter, so I've had a good 9 months riding on it. Good trail bike. I find the travel a bit overkill, so I've just purchased some 130mm Yari's which I will swap to.Cannondale Trail 27.5 | 2015

Cheers, it did look nice... 9 months of riding and it's looking somewhat dirtier and more dishevelled!Cannondale Trail 27.5 | 2015

They do that!
After all the exercise we give them, you'd think they'd look after themselves a bit better!0 -

Due to the slack angle of the geometry you may find that changes things quite a bit at 100. I think 140 would be this perfect setup for the frame, which from memory is what the recommend. Obviously no issue to run it a bit shorter or longer travel.Cannondale Trail 27.5 | 2015

Mechanically it is well cared for but sadly cosmetic cleaning is not part of my maintenance schedule :shock:Cannondale Trail 27.5 | 2015

Yh I believe 140 was the preffered shock length but I dont do a lot of rock gardens mostly fire roads and canal routes .The odd high climb trails .
I think if I was to up grade maybe a Pike shock next .
Gx eagle are on but awaiting cable housing cutters to finish the install
Set The high limit screw .Do the low limit when cutters arrive Park tool ones .
I can index them easy enough .A real easy system to fit to be honest .
We ready for the first run this weekend .0 -

With regard to the fork travel, it’s not really a case of what you prefer or your riding. It’s about how the bikes geometry is affected. They would have designed it around 140mm, which means by changing the fork it will effect how the bike will perform and how you feel riding it. It may be fine and not a problem but obviously there is a reason why they specify recommended forks. Be good to see some pics when you’ve got it done. I use ImgBB.Cannondale Trail 27.5 | 2015
