I have just purchased a 105 group set with hydro discs, but no Rotors. It's for a Cross/Gravel build.
Need a bit of advice re purchase of rotors, any help would be gratefully received.

Depends on your wheels, centrelock or bolt, and what size you want, which will depend on the frame/fork mounts and, depending on size, what adaptors you will need.

Most CX/gravel bikes have 160mm front and rear, or 160mm front and 140mm rear. Brand is up to you and 6 bolt or centerlock will depend on your hubs as Cooldad says. Shimano Ice Tech are good.

    What frame are you using?

  • Frame is a Cotic Escapade and the wheels are Hope 20Five's. If you need anymore info let me know.

Thanks for the help so far!

    Ignore Grumpypants.

Your frame takes flat mount calipers and the Hope hubs are 6 bolt. It doesn't specify rotor size on the Cotic website but from the photos of the complete bike they look like 160mm. I'd go for Ice Tech (non Freezer) or Uberbike floating rotors ;)

You have too much time on your hands. May I suggest finding a lady friend. Or man friend. Or even a goat.

    Whatever floats your boat.

I dont think my partner or 3 kids would approve of the man or lady friend, but I suppose a goat would save me cutting the grass... which would free up more time to get on your nerves. Plus, I'm sure it didn't take me any more time to help the guy than it took you to be disobliging ;)

True. But as they say, god helps those who help themselves.

    And I do.

    Bless you my son.

How's this for a cute alternative to a goat - a furry pig. Very huggable, and when you get bored with it, a yummy breakfast or two.

    Haha, thanks... I think :)

I'm torn between it being too cute to eat vs my love of bacon. Actually, who am I kidding... bacon wins every time!
