In local elections last week, Kristina Vogel was voted on to the Erfurt city council, having stood as a CDU (conservative) candidate. She is already on two UCI committees. Getting on with life!

And a couple of months ago, the company Mattel, in Vogel's honour, brought out a Barbie in a wheelchair! Vogel seems to be quite happy about it, in fact participated in the design of the Barbie by submitting photos of herself so that the doll would roughly resemble her.
