Clug bike storage attachment

Is anyone using these as a means of stowing their bike(s) away? I have limited space to store my 2 bikes and this looks a good solution. Only issue I have is I can't drill any holes in the walls to mount the thing. I had considered using 'No More Nails' to fix it in place. Would this work? I can't see much weight being put on the this g since the bike still stands on the floor. Any experience would be appreciated

TIA

I use them, but with screws and wallplugs.
You are correct about weight BUT, every time you pull the bike from the Clug you're pulling against the grip which it has on the tyre, I don't know how many extractions would be too many for No More Nails or other adhesive to survive.
  • You can get free-standing bike mounts - they are essentially a frame with feet that are angled outwards. They will then just lean against a wall. Something like this:

I've seen people complaining that the bikes fall out if your tyre loses pressure over time. I'm out...

Mine fell off last week - 28mm tyre on the roadie mount, designed for up to 32mm tyres.

Turns out the insert cracked in the middle, meaning it wasn't pinching the tyre properly.

Luckily it was an alu bike that fell off, not a carbon one. Hoods took a battering though.

Still needs screws. Can't use it. The bike is in almost a closet sized space so free standing stands are too big. A clug is still the best option for the space available.

I use them for my bikes.
Had them March 2017 (18 months) and I've never had either one of the bikes fall out (both run 25mm tyres)
One of which is barely used (the wife's) and the tyres go flat between rides.

    They are great.
