Morning folks,
Awake and twiddling thumbs. Skipping work and going to see the old man in a bit. Don’t think he knows we’re there. Must say I’m not keen on waiting at the best of times.

I didn't know you were a hooker LD.

Early start for a breakfast meeting at our advisors. They lure us in with a free full English brekkie in return for spouting shyte about topical tax matters. Beats working I guess.

I've brought the road bike to work, might go and do a hill climb after work but it's all the way over in Llandudno. Legs were screaming please no.

V, if you feel you need a beer for a spot of light relief/to vent a bit then drop me and hopper a line. Sounds like he may need one as well after a few days in the new job :)

"Work" followed by Coed y Brenin for me, like to pop up there occasionally and remind myself how shit it is.

    Oh, FFS!
You have to laugh, the wife has broken her ankle. Thought she’d twisted it last night, propped her up on the couch with pain killers and an ice pack. Still bad this morning so took her to A&E, good job I did.
Found out someone had fraudulently used my debit card yesterday to the tune of 600 notes, thankfully sorted that at least.
    All fun and games.

@oxoman just for interest, what is his apprenticeship in?

The older I get, the better I was.

  • Away again this week, but had to skip work today because I couldn't actually stand or walk properly this morning. Back is giving me grief again. :x Had an hour in an MRI machine the other day, which reminded me of watching Koyanisqaatsi. Results "soon" apparently, if I can get to see the neurologist again. First visit wasn't especially reassuring. :?

Was there at the weekend running and I thought I need to take the bike there as I haven't been for years. I take it hasn't improved

    Chin up V.

Sunnty here, (before the anticIpated deluge).
Spent the morning detailing a car and full valet. He's very happy.

OH is 'bored'. This could spell trouble.

    Laters.

Capt slog, I believe the correct title is advanced engineering technician. Basically electrical and mechanical engineering apprenticeship, should give him a good start in life especially given he's already got his C&G electrical electronic qualifications.

Nice one. I wish him luck. It's nice to see this happening more these days.

    Cheers chaps,
Very much a case of looking after each other at the moment. It was his time, so whilst painful for us we knew it had to be.

    My condolences too, Veronese.

We've done this twice this summer (Wife's side of the family), and have done a bit of the 'legal' stuff, please feel free to give me a PM.

    Take care.

Stick him in the REME or whatever the Navy or RAF equivalents are for a couple of years - that will polish his quals, loads of life experience, etc etc etc
