loose fitting tyres in 28/32

Can you name some easy-to-fit clinchers that don't break the bank (20 quid per tyre top) and come in 28 or 32 size?
I have a pair of Mavic UST rims, which won't be happy with tight things like Schwalbe Durano/Marathon
They are for commuting, so puncture resistance trumps rolling resistance

Nice, and they are easy to fit?
Normally wired tyres are a bit harderleft the forum March 20230 -
Only used their wired Rubinho tyres but always found them easy’ish to mount. Even just by hand when they have been on a while. Can actually recommend the Rubinho having used them all year round on different bikes, quite a robust tyre.0

I actually like the Rubino better...left the forum March 20230

Have used these for the past couple of years and can't fault them and yes, they are easy to fit (at least on Archetype rime they are)0 -

I do like rubino pro 3's though as they are good durable but realatively fast tyres & amazon used to sell them in 25mm for £8 each not tried that new versions...0 -
The tyres arrived today, very easy to fit even un UST rims... check!
The grey shoulder is hardly noticeable, they look very nice, not at all like per tacky picture on the web.
If they are half as good as the Corsa G+ I have on the geared bike I might have to stock up...
thanks for the advice...left the forum March 20230 -

I have the 23mm Pro 4 end - on campag khamsin - an absolute pig to fit.
A bit over ugos budget but the pirelli p zero are a very easy fit0 -

I second this.
Also 25mm Pro 4 endurance on Khamsins.
Also 23mm Pro 4 endurance on Shimano RS010s.
They seem to be pretty tight on a selection of rims. Maybe the Archetype is the exception.0 -

I am loving the pirelli p-zero's - will be my default from now on. Winstanleys had a flash sale so I got them for £30 each - back up £35 now !0 -

Have you had chance to ride these tyres yet, Ugo? If so, verdict so far?================

They disintegrate pretty spectacularly if you ride on poor surfaces too much. I had them on one of my bikes for a year of all weather riding, they lasted well enough, but when they wore out, they really failed spectacularly.0 -

I love the Corsa G+ (had 2 sets in 28mm).
A word of caution though....myself and 3 club mates have found that the end of life of these tyres is sudden. i.e. when they go, they are gone. No real "these look like they need replaced in the next 4 or 500 miles" moment.0 -

Oh good, I've ordered a pair, the temptation and relative expense of trying a first pair of Conti 4 Seasons has been at least temporarily removed!================

Given the debris I expected on the South Downs lanes yesterday, I decided it was time to hang up the GP4000S2s until next spring and fitted the pair of 28mm Rubino Pro G+ I ordered...
Forgot to do a curiosity weigh-in, just about got them on my Hunt Aero Light Disc wheels without levers over the Vittoria latex tubes, inflated to ~80/90PSI (initially at ~1300 and then gain at ~1530, in which time they had both lost ~10PSI).
After reading https://www.bicyclerollingresistance.co ... pro-g-2016 just after lunch, I was a little apprehensive, but no complaints at all on the ~50 mile ride.================

Because?
Their rolling resistance was ~50% more Watts at each pressure, compared to the GP4000S IIs (which I've been using since mid summer), plus they weren't as puncture resistant as the Rubino 3s they replaced (despite the marketing blurb stating otherwise).
But on yesterday's ride that was either a monster tailwind or headwind for most of the route, they seemed absolute fine.================

I'm know I'm going to be the odd duck on this one but oh well! LOL!!
I don't like loose fitting tires, in fact I prefer mine to be tight, why you scream? In the event of a blowout or sudden loss of air a loose fitting tire will come off the rim very quickly, this will result more than likely in a crash even if on a straight section, plus the pavement will damage the rim beyond repair; a tight fitting tire on the other hand will more than likely stay on the tire, you might still crash depending if your on a curve, but the tire will protect the rim. Even if the air loss is slow but you don't notice it right away, the tire could get down to 10 or less psi and you start to slow down realizing something is amiss and then the tire rolls off the rim, you didn't crash but you may have rolled a short distance with a naked rim damaging it even though you may have only rolled a few feet or even a few inches. Also keep in mind that the longer a tire stays on the rim the more the tire stretches a bit, thus a loose fitting tire when new is really sloppy as it stretches, and tight fitting tire will become a bit easier to mount and dismount (true for really only folding tires, rigid beaded tires don't stretch over time). Anyway whenever I buy a tire and it's loose fitting I take it back! Weird aren't I?0
