Off roading with a 3yo

We hadn't done this little route before - to be fair, Little Slowbike has only just started pedalling and our focus has been on that - but yesterday we decided to go "off track" and up a little mud path with roots & rocks ... he was brilliant - ok, not good at the narrow path - he just scooted - and then when we had a bit of gradient he suffered with the lack of lower gears to use (single speed) - but with a bit of assistance and perseverance we made it to the far end of the track - down a fairly steep path then back onto a cycle path he knows well ... tyres got muddy and fun was had - and I was as knackered as he was!
