I bought 2 old folding bikes

I got a Raleigh parkway and a dawes metropolis for 75 quid. Hopefully a bargain as fancied a folding bike for a while but don't know which to keep.

Both seem to have play at the front where they can basically be rocked with the brake held. Is this normal?

Both seem to ride well.

Gears work well. The dawes has hub gears

What do you guys reckon?

Loose headset ? If you want a folding bike then Brompton is the one to get.

I rebuilt the headset on the Raleigh. The movement seems to come from the folding bracket on the stem. Maybe a design fault

Any thoughts on which to keep?
