If so, I was hoping you might be able to help me identify the following parts which seem to be 'left over' after building up my new bike:

    On closer inspection could the 3rd item be a housing into which the front brake cable (with ferrule attached) enters?

    Ok. My other search for answers has been fruitful...

    Item 1 is a pad that sticks on the bars to prevent forward hand slippage when braking hard.
    Items 2 are grommets that cover front brake faring bolts.
    Item 3 is a brake housing.
    Item 4 is a cable guide of some kind but yet to be identified where...
