Garmin edge 1000 and Polar HRM T31 coded compatability

Hi, All,

My Garmin HRM Soft strap model has decided to simply pack up, changed battery etc but its not being recognised by my Edge 1000 when searching for it and simply wont pair up.
I read that POLAR HRM and straps are just as good, if not better and wondered if a POLAR T31 CODED one would be compatible with the Edge 1000.

Any advice very welcome on alternatives options.

Polar HRM units won't work with Garmin. Garmin HRM pods will work with Polar straps. Look for ANT+ HRM straps if you want a new one.
