Anything better than synapse carbon 2017 for £1000

Good evening,
I am after a new bike, and have my eye on the 2017 cannondale synapse carbon min disc with 105 for £999.
I prefer something a bit more endurance based and would be coming from a 2014 giant defy 3.
Do you think there would be anything better for the money, I could also stretch to £1500 if there was anything far better than the synapse
Also I am 5'8 with a 30" inside leg and the only sized they have is 51cm. I rode a 54 on the giant which felt fine
