Trying to reach family of Mick Greatbatch, cyclist.

I’m trying to contact the family and friends of the late Michael (Mick) Greatbatch who died on a LEJoG in 1999.
There’s a small but poignant memorial to him at the Drumochter Pass on the Perthshire/Inverness-shire border beside the Sustrans NCN 7 route.
I’m one of the local Sustrans volunteer rangers here.
This area is due for a major civil engineering project when the road is converted to a dual carriageway. The old bike track and the memorial will disappear under tarmac in the next couple of years.
They may wish to move the memorial to a safe place during the lengthy construction period before it is re-installed when the planned new bike track is built. Or I could look after the plaque as I live nearby if they can’t make the journey.
There seem to be a few Greatbatch cyclists on the web but I thought I’d ask around on various bike fora before making contact with them.
Thanks
Keith

Can't help you I'm afraid. You could try posting on the YACF.co.uk forum, there's a lot of audaxers and endurance cyclists on there who might know. Admirable effort. From another (now ex) Sustrans Ranger.0

Thanks, I have now linked up with the family and I’m sure we can resolve this to make a lasting memorial.
