Mine were ok, most of the time I wasn't among a huddle of cyclists so I'm at the front. Still don't think I want to shell out for them. A few are super over exposed and hard to tell quality with some of the watermarks covering.

Thanks chaps, glad you liked it. Ironically as I was editing it a friend was emailing me to advise she had finished editing her version.

Check this out for a very different view of RL100

I can't believe anyone would pay £27 for these, OK I didn't put my Number on my helmet so mine are sh*t.
My Niece is very disappointed with hers, despite there being 29 photos of her she is not mid-image in any of them and is completely hidden in 5.

Mine have some really good shots in, have a great one of me crossing the line with my family in the background cheering me on.

Can't you crop them when you order them ? Usually can with my London Marathon pics - so she will be centre. 24 pics isn't bad. I've done whole marathons and got less pics than that and always look so much rougher when running.

I think they are identified by your chip - so there's no check that you can actually be seen. Getting personalised photos is almost impossible on a ride like this.

Martin Johnson was in my wave, he completed in 4.42. Quick for such a big unit!
With practically no hills to speak of, being a big unit is an advantage, no?

Definitely. At 67kg I think I stuck my nose in the wind about three times on the flats. Solo'd most of the Surry Hills, yo-yoing off the front of a group - lost them on the climbs / caught on the downs & flats. So, plenty of energy wasted there...

Basically, if you drop of the back off one group you might as well sit up and wait for the next one.

Not sure if there is any other way for a smaller rider to ride this course. I guess ideally you want to be with a bunch of bigger riders who can climb too. Of course they would be far better riders than myself, but managed to get myself a time of 4:16 which is testimony to by wheel-sucking prowess!

I'm 58kg so even more the case. Rode it a few years ago having just done the Maratona and they're not really comparable, but I doubt I'll do a quicker 100 miles in my life, so whatever kudos you can gain from doing a lot of drafting is there.

having ridden with him in 2014 and 5 he has all the aerodynamic properties of a barn door. still goes along at a fair old pace though...

Opposite for me. Fat b*stard, so was in the front group and dragged a load of twiglets for 40 miles, then got gearing issues in Ripley so got shelled there, and stuck in no-man's land between there and the bottom of Leith. Then cramped up on Box and rode to the finish on one leg  4:18 in the end
Fat chopper. Some racing. Some testing. Some crashing.

Ha ha! Thanks for the tow if you were one of the guys in my first group. I had a 6.06 start.

I did enjoy Leith - think I was actually dribbling by the time I got to the top. Would love to give that Surry Hills section a blast again without the before and after...

5:44 start for me - first wave. My fat arse was in the 'lead' going through Knightsbridge and Brompton Road

For me it was a good event in 2019. 5.44 start, sun shining, all on time and the ride marshals do seem to have made a difference. Can't really expect every hole to be pointed but no silliness and standard of riding around me was excellent, no crashes or even close. Fast paced though not more so than previous years through to hills where it broke up, bigger group made it through to Box than in most years. The big difference though, there was no let up, usually there's easements from time to time, not in 2019. Most of our guys PB'd the course and no crashes. Always nice to blast 100m on closed roads.

It's normally February but not sure because I didn't bother entering this year.
