I’d been looking forward to this, opened up Sky Go to see what time Eurosport coverage started and they weren’t showing it but did have coverage of the European Track Champs :roll:0

Gutted we left there on Thursday morning after a week sunning ourselves and eating delicious food on our family holiday. Highly recommended!

The lotto jumbo rider whose wheel he hit was going diagonally across the road.0

Maybe Bernal should wind down for the rest of the season. No point burning himself out. Good to hear that he hasn't suffered a career-altering crash and hopefully Landa is OK too.

It seems that Roglic was also involved in the crash.

The last from Sky was a few hours ago:
Medical update: Egan suffered a serious facial trauma. He is awake and talking. He has had a precautionary scan to assess for further injuries which revealed a nasal fracture and maxillary injury.
He will be assessed by maxillofacial specialists and will be staying overnight for observation and further treatment.
Landa said he was fine but Movistar posted this an hour ago:
Following extensive examinations after crash at #Klasikoa, @MikelLandaMeana is confirmed to have sustained a fracture to the spinous process of his lumbar vertebra L1. He will undergo checkups again tomorrow before being released from hospital; need 2 to 3 weeks of absolute rest.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -
Thanks for the spoiler thread, btw. Popped in briefly but only had about 20mins to watch and it was 50km out with not much happening.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0

Unsurprising. The race is all but dead since the inclusion of the last climb, Murgil. The organisers have even removed one tough climb after about 100 Km, although in fairness they climb Jaizkibel twice. However, without any added difficulty, pros just fly in Jaizkibel (profile here). Right now, a breakaway would face a "Mur" after 20 km of false flats. They have no effing chance.
I've been riding there for my workation, and it's a shame that, first, they don't do Jaizkibel the other way. It's similarly hard (tougher at the end rather than the beginning), but you exit pretty much right before where Landa & Bernal crashed today, without any false flats on wide roads where the peloton just kills any breakaway. Furthermore, this would also allow an essentially seamless link with another Cat 2 climb (Ezpeleta).0 -
