Left work early, and earned Mr. Zuckerberg a few bucks until it was time to walk the dog - I was home so early she wasn't initially interested. I also kept an Ellon-based brewery in business during this period whilst waiting for todays bottom bracket. I really must clarify the rules for posting as such - something about having been to bed first? Is actual sleep a requirement? Song lyrics or something?

Yeah Friday, working from offices too far from the pub for a friday though :(

The wife’s chosen au pair and her boyfriend have turned up, I’m sure she has a nice personality

    Morning,

Weather doesn't seem to be sure what it's doing today, seems cool but humid.

Someone gave me a pointy lid, so feel obliged to try it out this evening.

'Ere, you stalking me Sungod? Today holds prospect of an afternoon and evening of beers and eats when we meet friends (our usual Belgian expeditionary force) up that Oxford. Tough gig eh?

Yay it's Friday though I don't know what makes it 'yay': it's cloudy and threatening rain. No heatwave return up 'ere.

You might cheer up the dog by feeding the rabbit to it and also cut down on kennel fees.

Me doing under sealing me. Ho hum.

    Laters.

    Morning folks,
Glorious morning down here, unfortunately utterly knackered due to lack of sleep. The old man was back in hospital last night and I was waiting to hear from my mum and sister, they got back a little after 1 and the old man has been kept in for more tests and to try and build him up as he's not eating and can't drink much at the moment. Should be home for the weekend though. Had a reasonably quick wobble in as I had the rare sighting of another cyclist going the same way as me, unfortunately he was fast.
Should be going to the pub with the Mrs later but will probably be going over to the 'rents or to St Georges according to what happens with the old man.
Today being Friday I will be going to the cafe to consume my body weight in dead pig. I've lost 2 kg over the last month so will undo the good that's done me.
    Coffee machine is calling...

Just knocking back a spot of lunch. Last nights steak hit the spot quite nicely, as did the wine and dessert wine etc. It's steaming hot here in The Big Smoke so not looking forward to the trip home but at least I'm not wearing a suit today.

V - fingers crossed for your old man.

    Afternoon
I have just about dried out after this mornings ride. Not only was I worried my plastic bike might melt in the rain. I got slightly concerned about the conductivity of said plastic bike with its plastic rims as I watched the lightening crashing around. Found out it’s true what they say about braking on carbon rims in the wet.
At least I got to wear my shakedry jacket for the first time.
    Might drink some wine later.

Can you hear the smugness of the gits with disc brakes?
Looks like I will be riding my waterproof ali bike with it's disc braking loveliness to Tooting after work as they are keeping the old man in. Kind of glad as they can monitor him and at least get something into him by IV if necessary. But also a bit worried he's bad enough they want to keep him in over the weekend. There's no pleasing me.

If it was that kind of pointy hat I'd just be able to magic 5 minutes off my PB and keep up with TLW.

Been to Aldeburgh with in laws, dog and mini. It was hot and a surprisingly long drive. Had a paddle, then fish and chips and a posh marmalade gelato. So, not all bad.

Next Thursday any good for a pedal and a beer V? Obviously dependent on how your dad is getting on.
