Ey up.

I have a set of wheels built on D/A hubs. Am temted to build a C50 / C60 pair of wheels with them but can`t seem to find a supplier of Shimano Dura Ace rims.

Any ideas ?

that because the cost of the rims is so hideous you could buy a new set of wheels and have change.

    Will maybe look elsewhere then.

Well my own obviously but I don't sell them as rims only and I don't have them in the drilling needed for your wheel nor would I want to rebuild either.

I think the spokes needed for your wheel have a proprietary head making a rebuild with another rim problematic.

Your wheels are dead buy new ones that can be repaired. Trust me on this trying to do this repair is a waste of time and money no matter how good you think the hubs are.

  • My wheels aren`t dead.
They are Handbuilts using the IRC Cadence 36mm rims.

I wnted to use these rims on other hubs and built carbon rims onto the D/A hubs, but it`s looking like I`ll keep these wheels complete (Wheelsmith) and buy a carbon wheelset.
