CAAD12 2019?

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere.

After much deliberation, I've set my mind to buying a CAAD12 105 (current RRP £1399).

Other manufacturers seem to be releasing 2019 models, and Cannondale's 2019 'superbikes' are available.

My question is whether and when the 2019 CAAD12 is likely to be released, because I hope to buy the 2018 version with 20-30% off!

Cheers

The problem you get with the CAAD and bikes such as a Giant TCR is that they get reviewed by the magazines, score incredibly well and then hold their price. They only seem to drop when shops have the odd one left so you have to get lucky obtaining one at the right price and size.

    this exactly.

i'd have a look at a Bowman Palace - you could probably get a full Ultegra set up with carbonzone or Farsports deep rim carbon tubs for that money.

However, the discount is discounted out of you want to have choice of crankset to fit.
The C Bear adapter is over £100 but at least it gives you that choice.
Cannondale unhappy with their BB30 reputation , now making it even harder for customers with their BB30a standard.

Isn't the 'Dale standard crank set meant to be well good though?

Full Cannondale Si is nice... lower spec CAAD12s come equipped slightly less pretty.
Praxis amongst the after market companies do not seem to be having anything in the pipeline for BB30a.
It's all about choice and not everybody wants to run Cannondale cranks especially when you add in the powermeter option.
The Bowman is very sensible with its threaded BB.

It's also nice to go a little left field. Palace would do it for me.....

C bear has a BB30a bottom bracket (which I have on my caad) and I have no complaints at all so far... Its still pressfit so hopefully it stays creak- free! I recently saw that wheels manufacturing has a new threaded BB30a adaptor which is a great option for those who have a developed Bottom bracket creaks... I infact I may go that way for both my bikes when they need new bottom brackets.

I have that frame (disc version)! It's a cracker. Lovely in the sunlight and I've had more comments on it than any other bike I've had!

    Light and stiff!

Came set up with tubes so I can't comment on tubeless yet but no complaints so far. I do think they're a nothing depth though. Either be as shallow as possible or 45mm+ IMO.

Was out in Saturday with a guy with the top of the line Dura ace disc version. Colour divided opinion though most including me liked it.

I went with the Palace purely based on the BB. It's a lovely ride and nice to have something different instead of the usual mass-produced names. Whilst I appreciate it isn't a direct comparison given the age, the step from a CAAD8 to the Palace is astounding. Absolutely love riding it.

Now please stop recommending it, or it won't get so many compliments about being unusual :D

That colour and finish is absolutely stunning. Very similar shade of purple as my old Corrado VR6 which I think is why I like it.
