Remove/replace Giant Defy1 Press fit BB
Hi folks.
Been a while since I had to replace the BB and on this bike it has all changed to a Shimano 105 Pressfit.
I would like to replace it myself so whats the best way to press the bearings back on?
The correct tool for this is massively expensive at about £178 so could you use a large G clamp?
The tool for knocking them out (Park Tool Press Fit BB Bearing Tool Set BBT-90.3) no idea if this fits but is about £30 and with a G clamp I could get the tools for under £40.
Thanks for any help folks.
Steve

Hi steve,
Just purchased this Shimano tool as my first diy bearing replacement - bearings went in perfectly aligned and smooth, I was actually surprised how easy the overall job was and with how little force they went in. Replaced Dura Ace Press fit bearings.
Afterwards I did my Cx bike with Sram GXP bearings, and that went just as perfect (had to use a homemade converter though as the GXP non drive side is only 22mm opposed to 24mm Shimano and GXP drive side).
