How to put a thread less stem/headset onto a bike that has a threaded headset?
What do I need?
What do I do?

    You can't for 2 reasons. The steerer will be too short followed by the threaded section not providing enough metal for the stem to clamp on.

    . What you need is an adapter, the top part is an ahead steerer , the lower part is the quil type stem that fits inside the steerer tube.

    OR You need to replace the fork with one with a threadless steerer (and will need to be a threadless headset), you can use a quill insert into your threaded steerer that creates a athreadless upper end for a a-head stem as mentioned.
