Having bent the drops on my bike in a heavy fall last night, I'm looking to replace the stock Easton bars on my 2013 Cube.

What things do I need to consider when choosing new bars?

I know they are 31.8mm, 40cm wide with reach of 75mm and drop of 130mm. I was thinking of going slightly wider (42cm) as when I had a bike the fit the guy did think I might find wider bars more comfortable.

Do I try to keep everything else the same?

Thanks

Chris

If you're happy with the fit then just get the same again.
If you're not, only you'll know why you're not which can lead you to what you can do to address it.
Wider bars might help if you close up your shoulders and get tension but I find the reverse was true for me and preferred narrow.
My advice would be get something cheap and cheerful like FSA tempo or Deda Zero 1, which come in a range of fits. They only cost £15-20 so you can try and see how you get on, if it doesn't work not the end of the world.
