Hi,

Looking to install Chorus EPC v2 on my Bowman Palace R. Going to need to drill frame for the charging port.

Thinking of drilling BB shell, has anyone drilled an alloy frame and can offer some advice.

Chamfer the drill holes and drill in the right place.

isnt there a hole already underneath the bbshell for the cable guide or is it internally routed?

I converted my Look 586 to EPS without problem. However, for both the carbon and the aluminium bottom bracket shell, I used a Dremel and and carbide burrs, not a drill. Surprisingly easy to control size, just take your time. I think you’ll find the the aluminium main tubes will be too thin to drill successfully, danger of snatching and bending the tube edges.

    This sort of thing:

Yeah I’ve thought about this and I think it’s the way to go i’ll Drill and file the cable guide screw hole. It will be ran internally.

Yeah, I’m going to invest in a dremel. As I’ve said I think I’ll use the cable guide hole for the charging port.

Love the work on your look. Is that you making a custom sleeve for the B.B.? I’m hoping the plastic sleeve on my sram gxp B.B. will work as a guide.
