hi looking at another bike not yet but just researching
i 51and getting back into MTB already have entry level HT but not what i want without upgrades mate advised just get a better bike .
so given the reviews i looking at Calibre bossnut triple b rave reviews and great for giving confidence i still keep my hardtail so get skills sorted but is it worth looking at a HT similar price something like vitus sentintar think it is ?
i know may be answering my own question here but am i better getting the calibre for confidence ?
Regards shane

At 51, your body will thank you for a FS. Not the PC answer, but who gives a sh1t.
I started mtb at 57 and lasted one year on a HT.0 -
At 45 after nearly three decades of riding HT’s I now ride a FS. The modern ones are generally very good, the original ones were terrible. I had a mid 1990’s FS bike it was awful, useless brakes, bizarre riding position and it was like cycling in two pogo sticks, one rock hard the other ridiculously soft.
By comparison my camber is smooth, handles well and the brakes work. I would save your body the pounding from a HT.0 -
Buy what is right for you. I had an FS for about 5 years but at 47 years of age, I built my own XC HT. Now I am no racing whippet, but I love the simplicity and involvement when riding. My FS was OK, but I think I am now able to climb better and also cope with the rooty single track downs.
I recently rode an FS again in Nevada, and whilst I had a blast riding, my HT would have easily coped.0 -
Cheers guys you have confirmed what I was thinking

I can confirm what Steve said, I'm 72 and have a Boardman Team FS. The best move I have made I only ride forest trails but at least I can keep riding, go FS.0
