I currently ride a Tarmac with eTap and a De Rosa Nuovo Classico both are too nice to ride in crappy weather.

I have a Groupset and a few other bits and bobs meaning if I had a cheapish frame I could build another bike for when the weather turns. I hate the idea of a full on winter bike and think this may be the answe so what do you guys think? Seems a bargain it’s a shame the grey ones have all gone.

Just wondering what's your big issue with winter bikes?

Is it a weight and performance issue? Why not look at the extra weight as more resistance for the hills which will whip you into great shape for the warmer months?

So you'll end up with a summer bike and a slightly cheaper summer bike...

Get a proper frame with full mudguards and space for wide tyres.

Winters can be long and wet and until you have a winter bike you really don't appreciate it.

    Winter miles = Summer smiles.
