Ultegra Di2 compatibility help please

I have a Felt B2 Tri bike Ultegra Di2:
Rear Derailleur RD-6870
Tri brake levers ST-6871
Tri bar shifters SW-R671
Junction box SM-EW90-B (5 port)
Battery SM-BTR1 (external mount battery)
The set up worked great and still works.....
But I wanted to change the bike to a road bike....
So I bought a used set ST6870 brake levers and they didn't work.
So I bought a used set ST6770 brake levers with a junction box SM-EW67A and it didn't work either!
I tried all combinations of junction boxes and brake levers but none work.
The good news when I push and hold either junction box's buttons the rear derailleur goes through the reset range and moves correctly.
uummfff what am I missing ???

Have you been on ETube and reset the equipment? Its maybe searching for the TT shifters and not recognising the STis.I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.0
