Anyone know where I can pick up a reasonably priced, 38mm plain carbon clincher rim in the UK? Tried Ebay but the options are underwhelming.

I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.
  • Having also looked recently, the prices have gone up quite a bit in the last 18 months. Ive also seen some questionable quality from some eBay sellers.

That's what I'm seeing too. There's a cheap rim on Ebay now but it looks damaged. Thinking I might have to stump up the cash and get a set built up by Malcolm at the Cycle Clinic.

I bought my original set in 2014 and they cost me £400 including delivery and taxes direct from China. Being quoted well over £100 a rim from Farsports and don't really want the hassle when something goes wrong as it did with my original set.
