Hi Donna - and welcome.
MFIN: its not one of the MFs. I think she is a real person although none of us here are too sure what a virtual assistant is. The MFs wouldn't have called themselves Donna, its too obvious. They would have chosen something like "Ubiquitous The Greek" to blend in.

I was thinking of Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri or Bixby... but according to Google it's a more or less a PA except you can do it remotely.
Anyway, hello and welcome Donna!Current:

How does that work? I thought that assistants had to be there to help with physical stuff like documents, meeting clients, you know.
MF doesn't understand this virtual world.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

I guess stuff like filing emails in Outlook, or ordering things online etc. I dunno... I'm still tying to come to terms with all these modern virtual jobs too, like "blogger", "vlogger", "content creator", "community manager" and "social media influencer" etc. It's all just sounds like people sitting about on the internet indulging their narcissism to me.Current:

Me and the MFs agree 100% with you - not actually sure what they are or what value they add. Its all a bit bizarre. No offence Donna.
Its a bit like people who are proud to run their lives off a telephone then panic when they lose it/it breaks/some chav on a moped steals it.
Perhaps Donna can tell us. I know for one my job is fairly simple: go to work. Put on silly clothes. Drink coffee and try not to get in to trouble. Go to gym. Come home. The only virtual thing I do is virtually nothing, as opposed to the MFs who do bugger all. Now that's a job in itself.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

Hi Donna,
Welcome aboard and enjoy your riding. A lot of people are inherently lazy so you are certainly not alone in that respect, I certainly include myself in that bracket. You have to push yourself to get started sometimes, but I find once I'm out on the bike I tend to enjoy it and I'm glad I made the effort.
I must confess the virtual assistant thing made me wonder as well, so I thought maybe virtual training is the thing for you. ;-) But I must admit riding a bike in front of a computer doesn't appeal to me so get out there and enjoy it. Should be a few tips in the beginners section for you.0
