Ultegra R8000 cranks and aftermarket chainrings
It seems Shimano have tweaked the R8000 crank arms, and 4 bolt aftermarket chainrings don't fit.
My son has a set of R8000 cranks on his Giant TCR and I wanted to change the chainring from the stock 50t to a 48t to meet his gear restriction. However Shimano don't sell a 48t to fit.
I picked up a 48t TA 4 bolt chainring, but it won't fit. The R8000 has a changed shape on one of the chainring 'arms'! Wolf Creek have a guide for modifying theirs, which looks easy enough. But what a pain!
