Rules of the Road

I worked a nightshift this week and driving back along the A21 I was dangerously overtaken four times. We have a disciplinary code which means I have to stick to speed limits.
The reason for this post is I'm fed up with comments in newspapers and social media where people (drivers) comment on cyclists breaking the "rules of the road"! Loads of fucknuggets tailgating me and the dangerous overtakes tells me who is breaking the rules.

  • To be fair, a lot of cyclists are equally as stupid as car drivers.
Just that if we have an accident we end up hurting ourselves and breaking our bikes.

My number one rule for commuting has always been "assume that all members of the public are idiots, so ride accordingly" - whether that be driving, cycling, jogging or taking their dog for a walk.
