Shimanos new free hubs standard

So all old wheelsets are now obsolete & only shimano & DT Swiss will be able to make bike wheels from now on for shimano 12spd group however long shimano decide to keep it restricted acesss for the new standard.
& a Shimano wheel won't swap with SRAM stuff either...
Good time for for shimano reclaim dominance of the wheel market from other manufacturers etc like novatech hubs.
Wonder if the idea is for mircospline trickle down eventually across the whole groupset range?

Can't see it going road unless single chainring takes over road too.
