RockShox XC30 - lower leg oil, needed or not ?

I'm about to service my XC30 Solo Air fork, and am now buying the required parts.
Looking at the service manual https://www.sram.com/sites/default/files/techdocs/gen.0000000004936_rev_b_xc28_xc30.pdf, at page 20 it says "The XC 30 fork does not require fluid in the lower leg." .
However, the oil volume chart https://www.sram.com/sites/default/files/techdocs/gen0000000004671_rev_b_rockshox_oil_air_and_coil_chart_2015.pdf, says the fork needs 5+10ml 15wt oil for the lower leg .
Any idea what RockShox is trying to say ?

Seems very odd not to require oil ... but as you say the instructions say not to.
Maybe see if any comes out when you drop the lower legs?0 -
Hmm no idea but we're talking 2 teaspoons, can.t see what harm there would be to have a bit of oil versus no oil.0

Looking at newer oil volume charts: https://www.sram.com/sites/default/files/techdocs/gen.0000000005176_2017_fs_oil_air_coil_spring_spec_rev_d_english.pdf it appears that the XC30 is the only fork which appears not to require oil. Strange.0
