Old Campagnolo Record components on modern frame

Im looking at taking the campag kit off my old bike and putting it on a modern frame.

Is there any reason why this wouldnt work

    Bit more info might be useful. How old, what speed, etc...

    Not really - should be fine unless new frame has some weird b/b.

    How old? Is the back wheel cassette or screw on freehub? Different axle widths.

    What do you mean by old? One decade, two, three, four...? Rear spacing has changed over the years, and most modern frames no longer have provision on the downtube for fitting DT shifters...
