Reverb dropper post screw hole stripped

Hi, I recently purchased a used 2017 GT sanction team. The bike has many quirks and one of them is how the seat post can come in contact with the shock if down too low. This what happened to the guy I bought it from. It caused the hose to disconnect from the post and spray oil everywhere. Another result which I just noticed now is that the hose won't screw into the post because the screw hole is bent. Is there anything I can do about this? I tried bending it back with plyers but it is super stiff. Thanks in advance

Can you post a photo of the part.
Chances are if replacement part is not available then the post is trash.0 -
Here is a photo https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MSXo4u ... p=drivesdk
Hopefully that shows it well enough for you. I assume that with the right tool you could bend it back.0 -
Maybe use a photo host we can access without needing an account? Tinypic is great.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Sorry, forgot to turn on link sharing. The link will work now.0

Doesn't really show anything, its hard to see how a screw hole can be bent (the screw itself, yes, the hole no) what's more likely is some metal has been torn out, that's not going to be fixed.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Thanks for taking the time to post photo but unfortunately it is hard to tell what is going on.
I'm not familiar with this model but it looks like there is a tube on the end with an internal thread, and the side of the tube is slightly pushed in so it's not round.
If that is correct, let me think about it. Usually you would use a drift and tap it in to make the hole circular but not here due to the internal thread which would be damaged.
Can the part be removed.
Maybe a sideways photo would help.0
