Watching the Tour of Slovenia and the riding looks ace - anyone any experience of going ???

Probably be 12 of us and could do with a guide for three or four days as well

    I rode several weeks in Slovenia last year, from Italy Trieste to Postojna >> Ljubljana >> Bled >> Trenta >> Mangart. I don't think this is a very enjoyable ride as the villages in countryside are either broken or without strong characters. Natural scenery is not as impressive as Italian Alps. But there are few interest places to visit, Škocjanske jame is really amazing and riding up to Mangart should be good but there was landslide at the last few km so I was unable to make to the top.
