Cycling around Venice and using the Vaporetto

During this summer I will be staying outside Venice. Last year I drove over the causeway to Venice. Cyclists were using an inner lane on the SR11. I would like to cycle this route, get a Vaporetto and end up near Cavallino. I would like to get to Lido and Fustina another day. I know you can not cycle in Vinence but can a person bring their road bike on the Vaporetto?

Got to the Vaporetto after crossing the causeway, no bikes allowed, told to go to pier 17, €17 for two sets of tickets, got ferry to the Lido, to pier 17 there, then cycled about a km to pier 14 and got a boat to Punta Sabbioni. had to wait an extra 30 mins as the first boat was too small.ugo.santalucia wrote:You can but the number of bikes they can carry is limited... ten per boat I think0
