Disc brake rub

Hi there
I have upgraded the wheels on my Trek Fx 3 disc bike
The rear wheel is fine
In the front wheel I am no getting some disc rub only at a certain point
The bike is brand new and has very miles on there and I was careful not to bend the disc whilst fitting
I have loosened the Caliper bolts and retightened to Centre the disc but not helped.
I am using a Center lock to 6 bolt adapter, not sure whether this could be the cause although I have tried a fresh new adapter and same problem
It seems that the Caliper does not have enough movement to clear the discs- I contacted the wheel company and they said I need to look at an adapter that will provide more adjustment as the fixing on hybrid bike has limited adjustment as people don’t often change wheels etc
Bit stuck, any help please would be most appreciated
