Crank help needed please

Hi, the tread on the crank of my wife's bike has sheared off so I can no longer attach the pedal. The bike is a 2012 Giant Revel W and the spec of the existing crank is FSA Dyna Drive 22/32/42. Now I am pretty rubbish with mechanics so wondered if anyone could suggest a replacement crank and also advise if it would be a simple unscrew and replace operation which even a fool like me could do?

Have a look on eBay for square taper chainsets. Plenty of people sell them if they upgrade.

Which crank has the stripped thread?
The left crank (non-drive side) is a left hand thread for the pedal so you need to make sure you are trying to attach the correct pedal.

175mm length arms? Are you married to a giraffe? But seriously, check that the current crank arm length matches the replacement, or your missus might not be happy. Unless you are actually married to a giraffe, and / or the current crank length is 175mm, in which case, carry on.

Yes, that'd be fine if you can find stock. What you need to specify is:-
square taper
triple
42/32/22 chain rings
175mm crank length (probably) though 170mm might also be an option if your wife might appreciate a more compact pedalling circle.

Tredz have the 170mm in stock for £28ish. (https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Shimano-FC-M37 ... sku=187337 ), that's the 371 model rather than the 361 but to all intents and purposes the same.
