Prime RP28 Carbon Disc Wheels - ?

Would these be a completely terrible idea for a commuter?
I'm thinking that getting a significantly improved commuter would cost me a grand. But I could knock the better part of a kilo off my wheels for £400.
Then I could eventually replace the frame with something a bit nicer in the future?

Pondering selling my deep sections for around that.
55mm so they'll make you look almost twice as sexy as 28mm (#FACT etc)
55mm light-bicycle rims handbuilt by Ugo on Shimano CX75 with Sapim D-light spokes.
Only thinking of changing as I'm getting something deeper for when I pretend to be quick0 -
I'd need to take advantage of 0% paypal credit so I can't do used.
I had some Ugo wheels BITD, they were amazing.0 -
I have Prime RP50 disc brake wheels on my bike, which seeing as I only have one bike, is by default my commuter. They are still round after nearly 9 months in all weathers. I can't imagine there would be any problems with the 28's either, and you can always send back to wiggle/crc if they aren't up to sniff.0

That's pretty sad profsilver spokes because it saved me about £3
Never been up the road to my house faster than on those wheels. Other than in the car.
What are your thoughts on the prime wheels? Hubs are novatec, but I'm mildly concerned about the spoke counts.0 -
I wouldn't recommend for a commuter.
I've got Prime Pro discs on my winter bike, and the bearings are shot after one winter. Hubs are the same as the RP28s.
Lovely wheels, lovely price, but on a commuter you would definitely want better weatherproofing.0
