Hi

I have a Year 2000 MTB, and the pulley wheels have worn out. I would like to replace the wheels, as the derailleur still works. However i've tried a few varieties of jockey wheel, and none seem to fit.

The derailleur just says 'Deore' on it, and there are various flavours of Deore. I've tried various lists of release date etc. I've looked over the derailleur without taking it off, and can't see a model number or anything helpful.

Does anyone have any tips? Is the model number tucked away somewhere inside of derailleurs?

It's 8 speed if this helps. The jockey wheel has 11 spokes and 'Narrow' written on it.

Thanks for any help!

Have a look at tacx they provide different size plastic adapters with the wheels and should fit your model of derailleur.

Yes you will need some with 11 tooth.

I've just fitted some to my xtr derailleur and are working great.
