I'm thinking of upgrading to 11 speed. Would I be able to use my Ultegra 6700 10 speed chainset without any adverse effects? There seems to be some mixed messages out there; ie not officially but it works ok?

  • Thanks both, I assume I can use the same brakes too so a relatively cheap upgrade for levers, derailleurs, cassette and chain

Indeed. Technically you'd only need to change the RH lever, the RD, the chain and the cassette, but that would be carrying economy too far in my view.

Especially as the front shifting is so good.
